RAM Continues to Excel as an Inclusive Employer, Earning Recognition for 2023-2024 from DCA

Real Asset Management Group (RAM) is pleased to announce that it has once again been named an Inclusive Employer, earning recognition for the 2023-2024 period from Diversity Council Australia (DCA). This achievement underscores RAM’s longstanding commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Scott Kelly, CEO Australia at RAM, emphasised that being recognised for diversity and inclusion has been a natural outcome, rather than something manufactured. He said, “The consistent recognition as an Inclusive Employer is a testament to our dedication to fostering diversity, equality, and inclusion. These principles are deeply embedded in our core values and have been since the firm was founded over a decade ago.  They form an integral part of our corporate culture and are evident in our daily actions.”

RAM takes great pride in its diverse workforce. Mr. Kelly elaborated, “Our statistics affirm our commitment, with over 54.2% of our team identifying as female, and 42.5% of our leadership roles held by women. Notably, while our gender representation aligns favorably with industry averages, we continue to invest in nurturing future female leaders.”

The results of the Inclusion@Work Index provide further validation of RAM’s inclusive culture, with an outstanding 89.3% of respondents confirming that their immediate supervisors genuinely support gender equality, a significant improvement over the Australian workforce benchmark of 71.3%.

Suzanne Hutchinson, RAM’s HR Director, expresses her excitement over the survey’s findings, adding that the team is delighted to learn through the Index that its Australian-based staff come from 13 different cultural backgrounds and speak 12 languages, with 52% of the workforce being multilingual.

Ms. Hutchinson further shared her insights, stating, “The diverse backgrounds of our staff have always been celebrated. However, it is particularly pleasing to know that an impressive 87.6% of respondents affirmed that RAM has an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and respected, surpassing the national benchmark of 71%.”

“In 2023, we achieved a significant milestone by establishing a formal Diversity and Inclusion Council. The Council plays a pivotal role in driving RAM’s overall D&I strategy, raising awareness, and providing important education on diversity and inclusion to our team,” said Ms. Hutchinson.

In addition to its DCA Certified Inclusive Employer status, RAM has reached various milestones in its Diversity & Inclusion journey. The company is now a proud member of Pride in Diversity and has recently become an employer member of the Parents At Work network.
