RAM has just been certified as a Family Inclusive Workplace

Real Asset Management (RAM) has just been certified as a Family Inclusive Workplace (FIW) in Australia. This accreditation is a public recognition of our supportive culture for families and carers. It underscores the ongoing efforts and commitment to prioritise gender equality outcomes, wellbeing of employees and their families, and greater workforce participation which leads to enhanced workplace productivity and engagement.

To achieve this certification we met the National Work + Family Standards, as determined by UNICEF Australia and Parents At Work, in the categories of flexible work, parental leave, leadership culture, family care, family wellbeing, and measurement.

Some of the actions RAM took:

  • Increased paid parental leave and the flexibility of how that is taken for primary carers to above the National Work + Family Standards benchmark.
  • Increased paid parental leave for non-primary carers so more parents, especially men, can be involved in their young families.
  • Addressed the significant super gap for women in Australia with super paid on all parental leave, be it paid or unpaid leave.
  • Formalised pre and post parental leave plans and development to ensure careers continue to develop during such an important personal time.
  • Expanded parental leave arrangements for all types of families such as LGBTQ, surrogacy, foster, and kinship care arrangements – plus extra leave for grandparents.
  • Further Fostered our culture of supporting staff in difficult situations with the setting of leave arrangements in the devastating event of pregnancy loss.
  • Formally increased compassionate / bereavement leave for all employees going through difficult times in their family.
  • Documented additional carers leave for all staff for when a family member needs urgent extra support.

RAMʼs success in obtaining this recognition reflects the dedication to fostering inclusivity and supporting employeeʼs work-life balance.
