Cheng has over 7 years’ working experience in finance industry in Australia.
Before joining Real Asset Management Group, Cheng had seven years’ working experience in Big 4 accounting firms specialised in M&A and cross-border tax planning. Clients served including GM, Lend Lease, CRCC, Morgan Stanley, Bao Steel, Fosun, etc. Cheng’s duties include: conducting domestic tax due diligence; providing tax advice in both inbound and outbound transactions, such as minimising offshore tax burden while considering the flexibility for future restructuring from tax perspectives (e.g., establishing a platform for future investment or reducing the tax cost on exit); evaluating potential corporate restructuring options and identifying the relevant tax implications; and participating in cross-border transaction consultation, working involving group structure design, coordination, etc.
Cheng holds a Master degree from University of Sydney, majoring in Professional Accounting. He speaks fluent English and Chinese.
